FWF - Rolls

FoodWasteFriday

A few whole wheat rolls that I made started showing some mold.

You can barely see it in this picture, but there is just a small spot on the roll in the bottom left.  I was just one day too late on using them up before they turned.

Thanks to Kristen (FrugalGirl) for hosting FWF.

  1. Just pick the moldy spot off and eat the rolls. I do that all the time. Unless they've got a moldy smell or are slimy, they can still be eaten. Just my two cents. :)

  2. That must have been a disappointment to have your homemade rolls go bad. I too have cut the mold off of bread and eaten it many times with no ill effects. However, the experts say that if you see mold, the mold spores have spread to the rest of the piece even if you can't see them. They recommend throwing it out. Who knows?
